Metz Bi-Color lens concept

The new high performance SMD LED video lights mecalight L1000 BC and L1000 BC X operate with an unique lens concept: The special arrangement of the LEDs ensures an ideal color rendering without colour cast and substantially reduces multiple shadows.

Flicker-free

An important quality feature for semi- and professional LED lighting, especially in film recordings is flicker-freedom as well as avoiding stroboscope effects. These image errors occur with LED video lights of poor quality, especially by high speed recordings or dimmed light.

CRI-value

Only selected premium LEDs with a color rendering index (CRI) of up to 95 are used in the Metz mecalight L1000. The higher the CRI value, the less unwanted color deviations occur in the image.

Constant light output

An intelligent light regulation controls the energy supply of the mecalight L1000. This allows the user to work with 1000 Lux of light at any color temperature. With other Bi-Color LED video lights, the warm and cold-white LEDs radiate only in the middle Kelvin range at the same time and reach the full indicated light output only in this state.

Integrated Wireless function

The mecalight L1000 has an integrated Bluetooth module. With the Metz mecalight app for Android and iOS, up to seven lights can be connected and remotely controlled. In wireless mode, the coupled video lights can be grouped and the illuminance as well as the color temperature can be controlled continuously.

Battery compartment P6: strong, robust, smart

The battery compartment P6 was developed by Metz especially for the mecalight L1000 in Germany and protects the video light reliably against dust and splash water (protection class IP44). In addition, an intelligent temperature monitoring also protects the battery compartment from overheating.

USB interface for firmware updates and external power sources

The micro USB interface of the L1000 is used for firmware updates as well as for connecting an external power supply: Like this, videographers can simply use the charger of their smartphones or a powerbank as power source for the LED light. An external power supply with a special connector is not necessary.
